Google Pixel 11

One of the biggest upgrades is Google’s new Tensor G6 chipset. It is built using TSMC’s 2nm process and features an unusual 7-core CPU configuration, making it Google’s first 2nm Tensor generation. Reports indicate a 1+4+2 CPU arrangement, while the chip is also paired with a new PowerVR GPU and Google’s updated AI processing hardware. Google has historically designed Tensor chips around AI and computational photography rather than simply chasing benchmark scores, and the Tensor G6 continues that strategy. Google has also introduced a larger main camera sensor that reportedly offers 56% greater light sensitivity, helping the phone capture more detail in challenging lighting conditions. The Pixel 11 adds new computational photography features such as Magic Capture, which can intelligently combine high-resolution still images and video, while Camera Looks allows users to create personalised photographic styles. Google’s Tensor G6 processing is particularly important here because much of the Pixel camera experience depends on computational photography and AI rather than camera hardware alone.

Battery life has also received attention, with the Pixel 11 carrying a 4,985mAh battery and supporting around 30W wired charging and 25W Qi2 wireless charging. Google claims more than 24 hours of battery life for its Pixel phones, while the new Tensor G6 and MediaTek M90 modem are expected to improve efficiency compared with the previous generation. The phone runs Android 17 and continues Google’s long-term software commitment with seven years of OS and security updates. This combination of a compact OLED display, new 2nm Tensor G6 processor, upgraded camera hardware, wireless charging and long-term software support makes the Pixel 11 a well-rounded flagship, although users who prioritise maximum gaming performance or extremely fast charging may find competing Snapdragon-powered flagships more attractive.

Overall, the Pixel 11 is not simply an incremental camera-phone upgrade. Its biggest changes are the 2nm Tensor G6 platform, improved camera hardware and AI-powered photography features, while the familiar compact design and 6.3-inch OLED display continue the Pixel’s focus on a smaller flagship form factor. For buyers who value camera quality, clean Android 17, Google’s AI features and seven years of updates, the Pixel 11 is a compelling flagship; for buyers primarily interested in raw gaming performance and charging speed, there are more performance-focused alternatives.
