The Honor X9d 5G is expected to be the next smartphone in Honor’s X9 series and is likely to launch around November 2025, following the pattern set by the previous model, the Honor X9c, which debuted in November 2024. The X9 series is known for its focus on durability, and the upcoming X9d is expected to continue that trend. The Honor X9c was built to endure harsh conditions, featuring a robust body capable of withstanding drops from up to 2 meters on rough surfaces, along with 360° water resistance at a depth of 25 cm. It also operated reliably in extreme temperatures, ranging from -30°C to 55°C. Based on this, it’s expected that the Honor X9d will come with similar or improved durability features.
In terms of performance, the previous models — Honor X9B and X9C — were powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor. This time, the Honor X9D is expected to be upgraded to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, offering better speed, efficiency, and overall performance. Battery life has also seen consistent improvements across the X9 series. The Honor X9C came with a 6600mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 66W fast charging, while the X9B had a 5800mAh battery with 35W charging. The upcoming Honor X9D may push the limits further with a rumored 7000mAh battery and 80W fast charging support, making it one of the strongest performers in the mid-range category.
On the display and camera front, both the Honor X9b and X9c featured a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and dual-side curves. The Honor X9d 5G is expected to enhance the visual experience further with a quad-curved display of the same size and refresh rate. As for the camera setup, the Honor X9b sported a triple camera system including a 108MP main sensor, 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro lens. However, the Honor X9c dropped the macro lens and only featured two cameras – 108MP and 5MP. With the X9d, Honor may bring back the macro camera, returning to the triple camera layout to satisfy photography enthusiasts.
