The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G gets a significant change in its processor and software compared with the previous global model. It is powered by the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset and runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Xiaomi offers 4 years of Android OS upgrades and 6 years of security updates, providing longer software support. Camera hardware, however, has been downgraded compared with the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G.
