Although Vivo has not officially announced the Vivo V80 yet, there is growing speculation that the recently launched Vivo S60 in China could be rebranded as the Vivo V80 for global markets. If Vivo follows its usual rebranding strategy, the Vivo V80 could arrive as a premium upper mid-range smartphone featuring a stylish design, powerful performance, advanced cameras, and long battery life. While the final specifications and pricing may differ when the global version is officially unveiled, this page provides an early look at what users in Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and other markets can expect from the upcoming Vivo V80.

The Vivo V80 5G is expected to launch globally around late August 2026, although Vivo has not officially confirmed its release date yet. Based on the recently launched Vivo S60 in China, the Vivo V80 is expected to be one of the biggest upgrades in the V-series lineup. Interestingly, the phone is expected to retain almost the same dimensions as the Vivo V70, with identical height and width, while becoming slightly thicker and heavier due to its much larger 7,200mAh battery. Despite the battery upgrade from 6,500mAh on the Vivo V70, Vivo is expected to retain the same 90W wired fast charging technology. However, wireless charging is still absent, which may disappoint some users looking for a more premium charging experience.

The display specifications are also expected to remain largely unchanged, featuring a 6.59-inch 1.5K (1260p) LTPS AMOLED flat panel with an impressive 5,000 nits peak brightness and 4,320Hz PWM dimming. The main improvement comes in the refresh rate, which is expected to increase from 120Hz on the Vivo V70 to a smoother 144Hz on the Vivo V80. This should provide a more fluid experience while gaming, scrolling, and navigating the user interface, making the display one of the standout features of the device.

Performance could see the most significant leap forward. While the Vivo V60 and Vivo V70 were powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, the upcoming Vivo V80 is expected to feature the considerably more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Combined with LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, OriginOS 6 based on Android 16, and an expected commitment of 4 years of Android OS updates and 6 years of security updates, the Vivo V80 could deliver flagship-level performance while remaining in the upper mid-range segment.

Camera hardware is expected to remain similar to the Vivo V70, but the global Vivo V80 is likely to continue Vivo’s partnership with ZEISS for enhanced imaging capabilities. Expected camera specifications include a 50MP ZEISS main camera with Sony LYT-700V sensor and gimbal-level stabilization, a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera with Sony IMX882 sensor, CIPA 5.0 image stabilization, 3x optical zoom, 6x lossless zoom, and up to 100x digital zoom, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 50MP ZEISS selfie camera is also expected on the front. Other premium features such as an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, LPDDR5X memory, and UFS 4.1 storage are likely to be retained. However, Vivo is expected to continue using USB 2.0 connectivity. Since these specifications are based on the Chinese Vivo S60, it remains to be seen what changes Vivo may introduce when the global Vivo V80 is officially announced.
