The upcoming Xiaomi 17T Pro premium smartphone is officially set to launch on May 28, and pre-orders have already started in Qatar through online retailers like Al Anees and Jarir. Customers who pre-order the smartphone currently receive free gifts including the Redmi Pad 2 9.7-inch tablet and Redmi Buds 8 Lite. While the device is still listed as “Coming Soon” in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain, pre-orders are expected to begin soon across additional GCC markets ahead of the official launch. Based on Xiaomi’s previous release pattern, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is unlikely to launch in India, as the earlier Xiaomi 15T series was not officially released there.

The Xiaomi 17T Pro 5G is an upcoming premium flagship smartphone powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. Compared to the previous Xiaomi 15T Pro, which used the Dimensity 9400+ processor, the new model is expected to deliver improved performance and better power efficiency. Xiaomi is also promising 4 years of Android OS updates and 5 years of security updates, making the device more future-proof for long-term users.

The smartphone continues to use the same premium display and camera setup found on the Xiaomi 15T Pro. It features a large 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED flat display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, support for 68 billion colors, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and up to 3500 nits peak brightness. For photography, the Xiaomi 17T Pro retains the Leica-branded triple rear camera system, including a 50MP Leica OIS main camera, a 50MP Leica OIS telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP Leica ultrawide camera. The phone also supports up to 8K video recording, 4K HDR10+ recording at 30/60/120fps, and a 32MP 4K front camera for selfies and video calls.

One of the biggest upgrades comes in the battery department, where Xiaomi has increased the battery capacity from 5500mAh on the previous model to a massive 7000mAh battery on the Xiaomi 17T Pro. Charging speeds have also improved from 90W to 100W wired fast charging, while 50W wireless fast charging support remains available. The device also continues to offer IP68 water and dust resistance, making it a durable flagship smartphone designed for heavy daily usage.
