The Redmi Note 17 Series is set to make its global debut on August 27, according to Xiaomi’s official global launch page. The upcoming lineup is expected to bring the Redmi Note 17 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G to more international markets, while the company has also revealed a new Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G for the global market.
The Redmi Note 17 5G has already been introduced in China and India, with the Chinese and Indian versions reportedly sharing the same specifications. The Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G has also been launched in China. Therefore, the global Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G is expected to be largely similar to the Chinese model. However, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G could be the biggest new addition to the global lineup.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G: 10,000mAh Battery and 100W HyperCharge
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is already generating attention because of its massive 10,000mAh battery. Xiaomi’s official global page confirms a typical battery capacity of 10,000mAh, along with 100W HyperCharge support. Xiaomi also notes that a power adapter is not included in the box and recommends using a Xiaomi 100W power adapter or higher.
Durability is another major highlight. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is advertised with 3-meter certified drop resistance and IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance. Xiaomi says the 3-meter drop-resistance result was certified by SGS under specific testing conditions.
6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED Flat Display and Snapdragon Chipset
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G will feature a large 6.83-inch 1.5K CrystalRes AMOLED display, according to Xiaomi’s global launch page. The display is positioned as one of the phone’s flagship-grade features, making the Pro Max particularly interesting for users who prefer a large, high-resolution AMOLED screen.
The phone is also expected to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. Xiaomi’s promotional information indicates a 12GB RAM configuration with Memory Extension support. Its official footnote states that the 12GB RAM version can provide up to 24GB of memory with Memory Extension, using part of the phone’s storage as extended RAM.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G Camera Details
Xiaomi has not yet revealed the complete camera specifications of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. However, the official global launch page already features a sample photograph captured with the phone.
The camera information shown with the sample includes 26mm focal length, f/1.5 aperture, 1/60s shutter speed and ISO 125. This suggests that Xiaomi is highlighting the phone’s camera capabilities ahead of the official launch, although the exact camera sensor and megapixel specifications are still to be confirmed.
Cloud Blush Color and New Design
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is also being promoted in a Cloud Blush color. Xiaomi says this variant uses photochromic technology that reacts to sunlight, creating a visual transformation in the design. Official images on the global launch page show the phone in a light-colored finish.
