Vivo T5 Pro 5G: Mid-Range Performance and India Availability

The Vivo T5 Pro (Vivo V2568) has officially hit the Indian market, offering a compelling package for mid-range smartphone enthusiasts. Currently, the device is conveniently available for purchase through Flipkart, making it easily accessible for Indian consumers looking for a performance-oriented upgrade. However, for those residing in the Gulf region, the outlook is less certain. Historically, Vivo’s T-series has remained exclusive to specific markets like India, and as of now, there is no expected launch for the T5 Pro in countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, or Qatar.

The mid-range smartphone market has a new endurance champion with the official debut of the Vivo T5 Pro 5G. This year, Vivo has pushed the boundaries of battery technology by equipping the T5 Pro with a staggering 9020mAh battery, a massive leap from the 6500mAh capacity found in the previous vivo T4 Pro. Despite the humongous size, charging remains efficient with 90W fast charging that can hit 50% in just 37 minutes. To cater to power users and gamers, Vivo has also included Bypass charging, wired reverse charging support, and a 5-year battery health guarantee, ensuring the device remains a long-term companion.

The visual experience has received a significant overhaul, shifting from a curved aesthetic to a more functional 6.83-inch LTPS AMOLED flat display. While the peak brightness remains a class-leading 5000 nits, the resolution has been bumped up to 1.5K (1260p) with a smoother 144Hz refresh rate. This is a notable upgrade over the FHD+ resolution and 120Hz panel of the T4 Pro. Furthermore, the device maintains its rugged credentials with dual IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, providing peace of mind against the elements.

Under the hood, the Vivo T5 Pro 5G is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. It is one of the first to ship with Origin OS 6, based on the latest Android 16 architecture. Vivo is backing this hardware with a solid software commitment, offering 3 years of Android updates and 5 years of security patches. Performance is further refined with an upgrade to UFS 3.1 storage, moving away from the older UFS 2.2 standard, while retaining reliable LPDDR4X RAM for efficient multitasking.

However, the vivo T5 Pro marks a strategic shift in its camera department. While the 50MP OIS main camera and 32MP selfie shooter remain, the dedicated 50MP telephoto lens seen on the T4 Pro has been removed, leaving a dual setup with a 2MP depth sensor. This adjustment suggests a focus on pure endurance and display quality over versatile zoom photography. Currently available in India via Flipkart starting at ₹29,999, the T5 Pro remains a specialized offering for the Indian market, as the T-series traditionally does not see a release in the Gulf regions.
