The Vivo T5x 5G (Vivo V2545) is essentially a rebranded version of the iQOO Z11x 5G, offering identical design, features, and pricing. This makes it a familiar option in the budget 5G segment, especially for users who are already aware of iQOO devices. Despite being a rebrand, the phone brings meaningful upgrades over its predecessor, the Vivo T4x 5G, making it a more refined and future-ready choice.

Under the hood, the Vivo T5x 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Turbo 4nm chipset, delivering improved performance compared to the Dimensity 7300 used in the previous generation. The device runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6, ensuring a modern software experience. Vivo also promises 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates, which is quite decent for a budget smartphone. For gamers, the phone is capable of delivering stable 60fps gameplay, making it suitable for casual gaming sessions.

One of the biggest highlights of the Vivo T5x 5G is its massive 7200mAh battery, a noticeable upgrade from the 6500mAh battery on the T4x. It supports 44W fast charging and is claimed to maintain battery health for up to 6 years, which is impressive in this price segment. Additionally, the phone now comes with IP68 and IP69+ dust and water resistance, a significant improvement over the IP64 rating of its predecessor, offering better durability and protection.

In terms of camera, the device features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary sensor with PDAF, along with a 2MP depth sensor. While the camera setup is similar to the previous model, it still lacks OIS, which might disappoint some users. On the front, there is a major upgrade with a 32MP selfie camera that supports 4K video recording, unlike the T4x which had an 8MP front camera limited to 1080p. Both the front and rear cameras now support 4K video recording, enhancing the overall video experience.

The Vivo T5x 5G comes with dual stereo speakers for an improved audio experience, adding more value for multimedia users. However, the display might feel underwhelming for some, as it features a 6.76-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with 1200 nits HBM brightness. While the brightness is decent, the absence of an AMOLED panel is a drawback, especially when many competitors are offering better display technology in this segment. That said, it is worth noting that the previous T4x also used an LCD panel.

On the software and features side, the phone includes several AI-powered tools such as AI Erase, AI UHD, AI Creation, and AI Captions, adding smart functionality for photography and daily use. Overall, the Vivo T5x 5G is a solid upgrade over its predecessor with improvements in performance, battery, durability, and front camera, though it still misses out on an AMOLED display and OIS, which could have made it a more complete package.
