Honor X8d 4G is a new budget smartphone from Honor that focuses on display quality, battery life, and AI-powered features. The phone comes with a large 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED flat display that supports 1 billion colors, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3000 nits peak brightness. It also includes 3840Hz PWM dimming, which helps reduce eye strain during low-light usage. Overall, the display experience remains one of the strongest highlights in this price segment.

When compared to the previous Honor X8c, the display specifications are almost identical, but the design has changed significantly. The Honor X8c featured a unique Dynamic Island–style cutout, giving it an “Android iPhone” look that many Honor fans appreciated. In the Honor X8d, this design has been removed and replaced with a standard punch-hole camera cutout. While the new design looks cleaner, the removal of the Dynamic Island–style feature may feel like a drawback for users who liked that distinctive look.

In terms of performance, Honor has made a noticeable upgrade. The Honor X8c was powered by the Snapdragon 685 chipset, while the new Honor X8d uses the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor. This change should offer better efficiency and improved overall performance for daily tasks, multitasking, and light gaming, making the X8d more future-ready among budget 4G smartphones.

The camera setup on the Honor X8d is mostly unchanged on the rear, featuring a 108MP primary camera paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, similar to the Honor X8c. However, the front camera has been downgraded from a 50MP selfie shooter on the X8c to a 16MP camera on the X8d. This downgrade may disappoint users who prioritize high-resolution selfies and video calls.

Battery life is one area where the Honor X8d shows a major improvement. The battery capacity has been increased from 5000mAh to a massive 7000mAh, offering much longer usage on a single charge. Fast charging has also been upgraded from 35W to 45W, allowing quicker top-ups despite the larger battery size. This makes the Honor X8d a strong option for users who need long battery endurance.

Additionally, Honor has introduced an AI One-Tap Button on the frame for smarter and faster control. The phone also comes packed with several AI features such as Circle to Search, AI Summary, AI Setting Agent, AI Eraser, AI Upscale, AI Remove Reflection, and AI Outpainting. These AI tools enhance productivity, photo editing, and everyday usability, giving the Honor X8d a modern and intelligent software experience in the budget smartphone category.
