Oppo Reno 16 Pro 5G Global Version: Bigger Battery, But Fewer Upgrades Than China Model

The Oppo Reno 16 Pro 5G Global Version (Oppo CPH2863) brings a few meaningful upgrades over the Oppo Reno 15 Pro 5G, but it is not as impressive as the Chinese variant. One of the main improvements is the move to the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset, replacing the Dimensity 8450 found in the Reno 15 Pro. The phone also upgrades its display refresh rate from 120Hz to 144Hz, while retaining the same 6.32-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED flat compact display with 3600 nits peak brightness and 3840Hz PWM dimming. However, unlike the Chinese model, the global version still uses an LTPS panel instead of LTPO, making it less advanced in terms of power efficiency and adaptive refresh rate technology.
