The Honor 500 Pro brings a major leap in performance by using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (Gen 4) chipset, which was last year’s flagship processor. This marks a clear upgrade over the Honor 400 Pro, which featured the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Compared to the Honor 500 base model, powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, the Pro version still stands ahead with stronger performance and better stability for gaming, multitasking, and AI features. The display on the Honor 500 Pro remains the same as the base Honor 500 — a 6.55-inch 1.5K resolution panel — while the Honor 400 Pro offered a slightly larger 6.7-inch display.
In camera performance, the Honor 500 Pro maintains the 200MP main camera, 50MP 3x telephoto lens, 12MP ultrawide camera, and 50MP selfie shooter found on the Honor 400 Pro. However, the new model brings meaningful upgrades such as CIPA 5.0 professional stabilization on the main camera and 100x digital zoom on the telephoto lens, double the 50x limit of the Honor 400 Pro. Compared to the Honor 500 base model, the Pro variant clearly stands out — the base model lacks a telephoto lens entirely and comes with only a 200MP main + 12MP ultrawide setup.
Battery performance is another major highlight of the Honor 500 Pro. Both the Honor 500 and 500 Pro now come with a massive 8000mAh battery, a big jump from the 6000mAh capacity of the Honor 400 Pro. Charging technology also sees upgrades: the Honor 500 Pro supports 80W wired fast charging, 27W reverse wired charging, and 50W wireless fast charging. The base Honor 500 skips wireless charging completely. While the Honor 400 Pro had faster 100W wired charging, its smaller battery and older chipset make the Honor 500 Pro a more balanced and advanced choice overall.
