Vivo has officially launched the Vivo S30 5G smartphone in China, and it is expected to debut globally as the Vivo V60. The phone features a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED display with a sharp 1.5K resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and an impressive peak brightness of 5000 nits. This marks a significant upgrade over the Vivo V50, which had only a Full HD+ micro-curved display. In terms of performance, the Vivo S30 5G also gets a boost with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 in the V50.
Camera capabilities have seen a notable improvement as well. While the Vivo V50 offered a dual-camera setup with a 50MP main and a 50MP ultrawide lens, the Vivo S30 5G steps up with a triple-camera system. It includes a 50MP OIS main sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The front camera remains the same as the V50, featuring a 50MP autofocus sensor for high-quality selfies. Overall, the Vivo S30 5G brings solid upgrades in display, camera, and performance, making it a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market.
